Program
Day 1 Manaus
Arrival in Manaus, reception at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 2. Manaus
Breakfast and departure for the city tour of Manaus (3 hours).
The tour starts in the direction of the famous Port of Manaus, located in the historic center of the city. Visit inside the Port and continue to the Rio Negro Palace, the official seat of the government of Amazonas, a fine example of the architecture of the golden age of rubber. The visit continues to the city’s Palace of Justice and finally to the Teatro Amazonas, the most symbolic building in the entire Amazon. Visit inside the theater, its halls, staircases and corridors full of works of art. Return to the hotel. Free afternoon.

Day 3. Manaus/Evolution Eco Lodge
08:00 Departure from the hotel in Manaus directly to the Evolução Ecolodge, welcome drinks and check in. During the course there will be a stop at an indigenous tribe where visitors will have the opportunity to interact with the natives of the Amazon. We will be able to see their dance and music rituals, customs, handicrafts and hunting weapons. An ethnic experience in the middle of the largest jungle on the planet with the first owners of all this nature.
12:00 – Lunch.
15:00 – The guide and visitors will take an excursion in small canoes through the Igapós (annually flooded forest) and small streams to see life in this ecosystem with the possibility of seeing monkeys and sloths and contemplating the sunset.
17:00 – Return to the lodge
19:00 – Dinner and free evening.

Day 4: Evolution Eco Lodge
07:00 – Breakfast
08:00 – Walk through the forest led by a specialized guide, where visitors can walk among large trees, breathe in the fresh air of the forest and obtain information about the flora and fauna of this wonderful region, visit a native’s house where they can observe how the riverside families live, learn about their customs and traditions. This group of people make their living from manioc plantations, preparing the famous Farinha de Cassu (Cassu flour). They are called “caboclos” (a cross between whites and Amazonian Indians). The history of the Amazonian population and the rubber cycle are explained.
12:00 – Lunch
15:00 – The guide and visitors will take an excursion in small canoes along the Igapó and small streams and in the afternoon fishing for piranhas and watching the sunset.
19:00 – Dinner
20:00 – Guided alligator watching tour. Visitors will explore the banks of the river at dusk and discover a world of nocturnal activities. We will be able to see frogs, snakes and nocturnal hawks and the caimans, which are more active at night, so we will be able to see them more easily. The guide uses powerful flashlights to spot caimans, as well as smaller creatures in the water and trees.

Day 5. Evolution Eco Lodge
05:30 – Canoe ride to contemplate the sunrise and the awakening of nature with the first rays of sunlight, while the silence is slowly broken by the singing of birds and forest animals along the Ariaú River.
08:00 – Breakfast and free morning to swim, rest or enjoy the hotel’s facilities.
12:00 – Lunch
15:00 – The guide will take visitors on a reconnaissance tour of the site in small canoes through the Igapós and small streams to visit the monkey forest where we can see different species. They often approach the canoe, an ideal opportunity for photos and a close-up view of these jungle hosts.
19:00 – Farewell dinner and free evening.

Day 6. Ecolução Eco Lodge / Manaus
Breakfast, check out and at 10:00 a.m. transfer by boat to Manaus. On the way back we will cross the famous natural phenomenon known as the “Meeting of the Waters” where the Rio Negro and the Rio Solimões meet and flow together without mixing for more than 6km. Arrival in Manaus and transfer to the airport. End of program.
