CIRCUITO “BRASIL SALVAJE”

Rio de Janeiro, Iguazú, Pantanal y Amazonia

Un circuito que combina los espectaculares destinos salvajes del Brasil donde la protagonista principal es la naturaleza en todo su esplendor. Vamos a descubrir Rio de Janeiro rodeado por la mayor selva urbana del mundo: la floresta de Tijuca donde la recorreremos en jeep con paradas en varios mirantes.  Vamos a deslumbrarnos con las inmensas Cataratas del Iguazu visitando del lado brasileño y del lado argentino a esta maravilla natural de la humanidad. Continuaremos para visitar las vastas planicies inundables del Brasil: el Pantanal y su explosión de vida animal. Vamos a realizar cabalgatas por el Pantanal para descubrir su ecosistema y la vida del hombre “pantaneiro”. Finalmente visitaremos el pulmón del mundo: la Selva Amazónica. Comenzaremos por la ciudad de Manaos como puerta de entrada a la mayor selva del planeta. Luego nos trasladaremos a hoteles de selva para conocer el corazón de la Amazonia a través de paseos y excursiones.

A circuit that combines the spectacular wild destinations of Brazil where the main character is nature in all its splendor. We are going to discover Rio de Janeiro surrounded by the largest urban jungle in the world: the Tijuca forest where we will visit it by jeep with stops at various viewpoints. We are going to be dazzled by the immense Iguazu Falls visiting from the Brazilian side and the Argentine side to this natural wonder of humanity. We will continue to visit the vast floodplains of Brazil: the Pantanal and its explosion of animal life. We are going to go horseback riding through the Pantanal to discover its ecosystem and the life of the “pantaneiro” man. Finally we will visit the lung of the world: the Amazon Rainforest. We will start with the city of Manaus as the gateway to the largest jungle on the planet. Then we will move to jungle hotels to get to know the heart of the Amazon through walks and excursions.

Visitaremos el Famoso Cristo Redentor con sus espectaculares vistas de Rio, luego el centro de la ciudad para ver la Catedral, el Estadio Maracaná, el Sambodromo, los Arcos de Lapa entre otros atractivos. Parada para almuerzo ( incluido ) y a continuación visita al Pan de Azúcar. Regreso al hotel. Noche libre.

Breakfast and departure for the full day tour of Rio.

We will visit the famous Christ the Redeemer with its spectacular views of Rio, then the city center to see the Cathedral, the Maracanã Stadium, the Sambodromo, the Arches of Lapa among other attractions. Stop for lunch (included) and then visit the Sugarloaf Mountain. Back to the hotel. Free night.

DIA / DAY 03. RIO DE JANEIRO.

Localizado en el corazón de Rio de Janeiro con fácil acceso desde cualquier punto de la ciudad, este parque carioca protege a la mayor selva urbana del mundo con una extensión de 3.953 hectáreas. Es el Parque Nacional mas visitado del Brasil recibiendo mas de tres millones de visitantes por año, entre brasileños y extranjeros de todas las edades. Sin duda, un pulmón verde de Rio que atrae a quien buscan paisajes de selva cerca del mar, observadores de aves, amantes de caminatas o simplemente aquellos que deseen un contacto con la naturaleza.

Located in the heart of Rio de Janeiro with easy access from anywhere in the city, this Rio de Janeiro park protects the largest urban jungle in the world, with an area of 3,953 hectares. It is the most visited National Park in Brazil, receiving more than three million visitors per year, among Brazilians and foreigners of all ages. Undoubtedly, a green lung of Rio that attracts those who seek landscapes of jungle near the sea, bird watchers, lovers of walks, or simply those who long for contact with nature.

Come back to the hotel. Rest of the day free to enjoy beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema.

DIA / DAY 05. IGUAZU.

Desayuno y tour de medio día visitando las Cataratas Brasileñas y el Parque de las Aves. ( entradas no incluídas ). Regreso al hotel y tarde libre. Tour opcional: visita a la Represa de Itaipu.

Tour de medio día al lado brasileño. Llegada al Centro de Visitantes, ubicado a 10 km de las Cataratas del Iguazú, a la entrada del Parque Nacional Iguazú. El Centro presenta una excelente Infraestructura con exposición fotográfica de las Cataratas del Iguazú, paneles con mapas del Parque Nacional y una gran tienda de souvenirs, baños, puesto médico, cajero electronico, etc. Luego de pasar por este Centro, la visita continua, ya dentro del Parque Nacional por un camino que nos lleva a las magníficas Cataratas del Iguazú. Allí, el recorrido a pie por la pasarela es de aproximadamente 1 km de largo y muy fácil. Esta caminata ofrece vistas panorámicas de las cataratas y al final, un fantástico acercamiento (donde el visitante puede mojarse) a la Garganta del Diablo y saltos principales. La caminata finaliza en la cima de las Cataratas del Iguazú cuyo acceso es a través de escaleras o elevador panorámico. Desde allí, los visitantes siguen la pasarela hasta el Espacio Puerto Canoas donde hay un mirador con vista al río Iguazú superior, Restaurante Porto Canoas, snack bar, tienda de artesanías, baños y puesto médico. Allí se toma el vehículo que nos llevará de regreso al centro de visitantes.
Muy próximo a la entrada de Cataratas Brasileñas se encuentra el Parque de las Aves, un refugio donde el visita observará cientos de especies de aves del Brasil y del mundo como también reptiles, pequeños mamíferos y mariposas. El visitante ingresará a enormes viveros que recrean diferentes habitar del Brasil para ver la fauna desde muy cerca. Una vez finalizada la visita regreso al Hotel.

Tour opcional por la tarde: visita a la Represa de Itaipu.

Breakfast and half day tour visiting the Brazilian Falls and the Bird Park. (tickets not included).

Half day tour to Brazilian side. Arrival at the Visitor Center, located 10 km from the Iguazu Falls, at the entrance of the Iguazú National Park. The Center presents an excellent Infrastructure with photo exhibition of the Iguazu Falls, panels with maps of the National Park and a large souvenir shop, sanitary ware, medical post, sale of income to the Park, bank, etc. After passing through this Center, the continuous visit, already inside the National Park, by a road that takes us to the magnificent Iguazú Falls. There, the walking tour through the footbridge is approximately 1 km long and very easy. This hike offers panoramic views of the Falls and, at the end, a fantastic (wet) approach to the Devil’s Throat and main falls. It is a completely different walk from the Argentine side and it is recommended to visit from both sides. The walk ends at the top of the Iguazu Falls whose access is through stairs or panoramic elevator; From there, visitors follow the walkway to the Puerto Canoas Space where there is a flat viewpoint overlooking the upper Iguazu River, Porto Canoas Restaurant, snack bar, craft shop, restrooms and medical post. There awaits the vehicle that will take us back to the visitors center. Very close to the entrance of Brazilian Falls is the Bird Park, a refuge where the visitor will observe hundreds of species of birds from Brazil and the world as well as reptiles, small mammals and butterflies. The visitor will enter huge nurseries that recreate different inhabits of Brazil to see the fauna from very close. Once the visit is over, return to the Hotel.

Return to the hotel and free afternoon. Optional tour: visit to the Itaipu Dam.

DIA / DAY 06. IGUAZU.

Desayuno y tour de día completo a las Cataratas de Argentina. Visita a los circuitos superior e inferior del Parque Nacional y al balcón de la famosa Garganta del Diablo. Regreso al Hotel fin de tarde. ( entrada al Parque Nacional no incluida)

Salida del hotel hacia las Cataratas del Iguazú, ubicadas a 30 km del centro de la ciudad de Foz do Iguaçu y a 24 km de Puerto Iguazú. Llegada al Centro de Visitantes del Parque Nacional Iguazú. Este Centro ofrece excelentes instalaciones con todos los servicios como bares, un restaurante, tiendas de souvenirs, baños, puesto médico y también un edificio donde grandes paneles muestran la importancia y la biodiversidad de la selva subtropical húmeda. Para acceder a las pasarelas donde se observan las Cataratas del Iguazú, los visitantes toman un tren a gas, que los llevará a los paseos superiores y Garganta del Diablo. La caminata se realiza por las pasarelas del circuito inferior que tiene una duración aproximada de 1 hora y la caminata superior que toma aproximadamente 50 minutos. Para visitar la Garganta del Diablo, debe tomar el tren en la estación principal o en la estación Cataratas, cerca del circuito superior. Para los que les guste caminar, existe la opción del “Sendero Verde”, con 1 km, que conecta el Centro de Visitantes con la estación de Cataratas y con el paseo superior. Al llegar a la estación Garganta del Diablo, se camina sobre una pasarela plana, construida sobre el río Iguazú superior, con una extensión de 1.100 metros. Durante esta visita, las cascadas se verán más de cerca permitiendo la apreciación detallada tanto de la flora como de las cascadas que estarán literalmente al alcance de la mano. Regreso al hotel fin de tarde; tarde.

Breakfast and full day tour to the Argentina Falls. Visit the upper and lower circuits of the National Park and the balcony of the famous Devil’s Throat. Return to the Hotel late afternoon.( National Park Ticket not included )

Departure from the hotel to the Iguazu Falls, located 30 km from the center of the city of Foz do Iguaçu and 24 km from Puerto Iguazú. Arrival at the Visitors Center of the Iguazu National Park. This Center offers excellent facilities with all the services like several snack bars, a restaurant, souvenir shops, toilets, medical post and also a building where big panels shows the importance and the biodiversity of the humid subtropical jungle. To access the footbridges where the Iguazú Falls are observed, visitors take a gas-powered train, which will take them to the top rides and Garganta del Diablo. The walk is made by the footbridges of the lower walk that lasts approximately 1 hour and the upper walk that takes approximately 50 minutes. To visit the Devil’s Throat, you should take the train at the main station or at the Cataratas station, near the upper circuit. For those who like to walk, there is the option of the “Green Trail”, with 1 km, that connects the Visitor Center to the Cataratas station and to the upper walk. Arriving at the Garganta del Diablo station, walk on a flat footbridge, built on the upper Iguazu River, with an extension of 1,100 meters. During this visit, the waterfalls will be seen more closely allowing the detailed appreciation of both the flora and the waterfalls that will be literally within reach with hands. Return to the hotel at evening.

DIA / DAY 07. IGUAZU/ CAMPO GRANDE/ PANTANAL

Desayuno, check out y traslado al aeropuerto para vuelo a Campo Grande. Llegada a Campo Grande. Salida desde el aeropuerto de Campo Grande para el Pantanal ( Estancia San Francisco a 230km / 3 hs de transcurso). Llegada y hospedaje. Cena. Después de la cena Excursión nocturna.

Safari nocturno – Tour nocturno operado en vehículos abiertos adaptados 4×4, utilizando una poderosa linterna de largo alcance para observar animales crepusculares y nocturnos como osos hormigueros, zorros, capibaras, caimanes, zorros cangrejeros, ocelotes, tapires, ciervos, búhos, halcones nocturnos y con algo de suerte el hermoso jaguar. Durante la noche, la luz fuerte que se usa para detectar a los animales se refleja en sus ojos. Les presentamos a los visitantes la posibilidad de encontrarse con algunos de estos animales durante este viaje nocturno. Viajamos por los arrozales (buen lugar para avistar mamíferos) y las zonas boscosas. Durante la estación seca (generalmente entre junio y octubre) es posible atravesar la hermosa zona de Corixo Seco, que tiene un bosque intacto y tupido. Nuestros autos, llamados Jaguaretê (Jaguar), Jaguatirica (Ocelot) y Guará (Wolf), fueron construidos especialmente para este viaje. Montados en camionetas Toyota equipadas con asientos en tres niveles diferentes para facilitar la observación de los animales por parte de todos en el automóvil.

Pick-up at Campo Grande Airport and regular transfer to Pantanal (Fazenda San Francisco 230 km / 3hs driving) Arrival and accommodation. Dinner. Night activity right after dinner, according to the Schedule of the lodge. Overnight.

NIGHT SAFARI – Night tour operated in 4×4 adapted open vehicles, using a powerful long range torch to observe crepuscular and nocturnal animals like anteaters, foxes, capybaras, caimans, crab-eating foxes, ocelots, tapirs, dears, owls, nighthawks, and with some luck the beautiful jaguar. During the night, the strong light used to spot the animals reflects in their eyes. We present the visitors with the possibility of encountering some of these animals during this night trip. We travel through the rice fields (good place to spot mammals) and the forested areas. During the dry season (usually between June and October) it is possible to traverse the beautiful area of Corixo Seco, which has an intact and tight forest. Our cars, called Jaguareté (Jaguar), Jaguatirica (Ocelot) and Guará (Wolf), were specially built for this trip. They are mounted on Toyota Pick-ups equipped with seats in three different levels to facilitate the observation of animals by everyone in the car.

DIA / DAY 08. PANTANAL

Desayuno, almuerzo y cena con excursiones incluidas por la mañana y por la tarde de acuerdo a la programación del Lodge.

Safari Fotográfico + Camino Carandá. El Safari fotográfico se realiza en el área de la reserva y arrozales de la finca. En este recorrido es posible observar la abundante fauna local como caribúes, carpinchos, caimanes y muchas aves como la cigüeña jabiru – símbolo  del Pantanal. Con un poco de suerte se podrá ver osos hormigueros, tapires e incluso el majestuoso jaguar, entre muchas otras especies de mamíferos y aves. Durante el safari, podrá caminar por un sendero suspendido construido en el bosque de galería del río Miranda. Esta caminata dura alrededor de 20 minutos. Es posible visualizar el encuentro de las aguas del Corixo São Domingos y el río Miranda

Tour Naútico en Barcaza ( Chalana ) – Chalana es una barcaza típica del Pantanal. En este recorrido es posible observar las aves que hacen de la ribera su hogar, como el martin pescador, cormoranes, garcetas, garzas, halcones, jacamares y muchos otros. Los caimanes se ven a menudo muy cerca. Con frecuencia observamos también  las nutrias de río gigantes, las nutrias de río del sur e incluso un oso hormiguero pueden cruzar frente al bote. En este tour, los huéspedes también pueden intentar pescar pirañas y visitar la higuera centenaria. Durante la estación seca, es posible caminar por un sendero en el bosque de galería donde se conoce la vegetación local. Se pueden ver árboles como higuera estranguladora, higuera blanca, palmera acuri, piuva, angico, y también varias lianas que forman el entorno natural del Pantanal.

Cabalgatas – Montar a caballo es la forma más tradicional de explorar el Pantanal como lo hacen los pantaneiros (vaqueros locales), a caballo! Nuestros caballos son mansos y están acostumbrados a la caminata fácil del viaje que tiene como objetivo la búsqueda de animales. En este recorrido, los guías pantaneiro, llevan en su alforja el tereré – bebida típica de la región – similar al mate caliente, pero con agua fría. Durante el paseo se pueden observar animales típicos de la sabana brasileña, como armadillos, osos hormigueros, ciervos, ñandúes e innumerables especies de aves.

PHOTOGRAPHIC SAFARI + CARANDÁ TRAIL – The Photo Safari is done in the preserve area and rice fields of the farm. In this tour it is possible to see the abundant local fauna like marsh dears, capybaras, caimans and many birds as the jabiru stork – b symbol of the Pantanal. With some luck you might see anteaters, tapirs and even the majestic jaguar, among many other mammal species and birds.During the safari you will be able to walk on a suspended trail built in the gallery forest of Miranda River. This walk lasts around 20 minutes. It is possible to visualize the encounter of the waters of Corixo São Domingos and Miranda River

RIVER BARGE (CHALANA) TOUR – Chalana is a typical barge of the Pantanal. In this tour it is possible to see the birds that make the river bank their home, like kingfishers, cormorants, egrets, herons, hawks, jacamars and many others. Caimans are often seen very close. With some luck, giant river otters, southern river otters and even an anteater can cross in front of the boat. On this tour guests can also try fishing for piranhas and visit the Centennial Fig Tree. During the dry season, it is possible to walk on a trail in the gallery forest of where you get to know the local vegetation. Trees like strangling fig tree, white fig tree, acuri palm tree, piuva, angico, and also several lianas can be seen.

HORSEBACK RIDE – Horseback riding is the most traditional way to explore the Pantanal like the pantaneiros (local cowboy) do, on a horseback! Our horses are tame and used to the easy walk of the trip that aims at searching for animals. On this tour, the pantaneiro  guides, carry in their saddlebag the tereré – typical drink of the region – similar to the hot mate, but with cold water. During the ride, typical animals from the Brazilian savannah can be seen, such as armadillos, anteaters, deer, rheas and countless species of birds.

DIA / DAY 09. PANTANAL / CAMPO GRANDE/ MANAOS.

DIA / DAY 10. MANAOS / JUNGLE LODGE.

Desayuno y tour de medio día por Manaos donde visitaremos el Mercado de Peces, el Mercado de Bananas, su centro histórico y el famoso Teatro Amazonas.

Considerada la puerta de entrada a la Amazonía brasileña, la ciudad de Manaos se distingue por la rica arquitectura que hace referencia al período dorado del caucho. Bañada por las aguas del río Negro, puede ser tanto moderna como antigua. Este es un recorrido indispensable para comprender la majestuosidad del patrimonio cultural asentado en medio de la Selva Amazónica. Lo mejor de Manaos durante esta visita guiada panorámica de 4 horas: mercado Municipal Adolpho Lisboa, los Mercados de Pescado y el Marcado de Bananas, el Palacio de Río Negro, el Museo de la Ciudad (MUMA) y el Teatro Amazonas. Descubrirá la interesante arquitectura, así como la cultura y la historia de esta ciudad amazónica en el camino.

Regreso al hotel y check out. A las 14:hs salida para el Hotel del Selva ( traslado terrestre y en lachas rápidas ). Llegada, hospedaje y cena . Tour nocturno.

Breakfast and half day tour of Manaus.

Considered the gateway to the Brazilian Amazon, the city of Manaus is distinguished by the rich architecture that refers to the rubber golden period. Bathed by the Negro River waters, it can be both modern and ancient. This is an indispensable tour to understand the majesty of the cultural heritage established in the middle of the Amazon Forest. The best highlights of Manaus during this panoramic 4 hour guided tour: the Adolpho Lisboa Municipal Market, Fish and Banana Markets, Rio Negro Palace, City Museum (MUMA) and Amazon Theater. Discover the interesting architecture, as well as the culture and history of this Amazonian city along the way.

Return to the hotel and check out. At 2:00 p.m., departure to the Hotel del Selva (land transfer and speedboats). Arrival, lodging and dinner. Night tour.

DIA / DAY 11. JUNGLE LODGE.

Desayuno y salida para tour en la selva. Regreso al Lodge, almuerzo y tiempo de descanso, luego salida para el tour de la tarde. Cena.

Breakfast and departure for a jungle tour. Return to the Lodge, lunch and rest time, then departure for the afternoon tour. Dinner.

Excursiones en los Lodge de Selva / Excursion at Amazon Jungle lodge

Encuentro de las Aguas.
En ruta al Lodge de Selva, nos detenemos para observar el magnífico Encuentro de las Aguas, donde las aguas fangosas del río Solimões se encuentran con las aguas negras del río Negro. En este punto de unión crucial, los dos ríos, con diferentes velocidades, temperaturas y consistencias, corren uno al lado del otro durante varios kilómetros sin realmente mezclarse, y finalmente se unen para formar el gran río Amazonas. Los pasajeros sentirán la diferencia de temperatura entre los dos ríos distintos.

Meeting of Waters.
In route to the Jungle Lodge, we stop to observe the magnificent Meeting of the Waters, where the muddy waters of the Solimões River meet the black waters of the Negro River. At this crucial junction point, the two rivers – with different speeds, temperatures and consistencies – run side by side for several kilometers without actually mixing, ultimately joining to form the great Amazon River. Passengers will feel the difference in temperature between the two distinct rivers.

Canoaje.
Nuestro recorrido en canoa proporciona una exploración en profundidad / de cerca de los igarapés (arroyos amazónicos) y los igapós (bosque inundado), una experiencia que solo es posible con canoas de remo. Canoing 
Our canoeing tour provides an in depth / up close exploration of the igarapés (Amazonian creeks) and the igapós (flooded forest), an experience made possible only by paddle canoes. During the excursion, guests are encouraged to swim and may encounter some of the river’s most majestic creatures: pink dolphins.

Avistaje de Caimanes.
Partimos en una expedición nocturna para observar ranas, aves y lo más importante, caimanes. Nuestro guía usa su linterna para ayudar a detectar caimanes. Con esta luz, podemos ver los ojos del caimán, que refleja un punto rojo brillante, ya que el animal permanece paralizado y claramente visible.

Cayman spotting
We depart on an evening expedition to observe frogs, birds and most importantly, caymans. Our guide uses his flashlight to help spot caymans. With this light, we can see the cayman’s eyes, which reflects a bright red dot, as the animal remains paralyzed and clearly visible.

Amanecer en el Amazonas.
Una experiencia inolvidable. Temprano en la mañana saldremos para una excursión al amanecer donde los participantes observarán el cambio agudo y fascinante en el color del cielo y los sonidos de los pájaros al despertar. Nuestros guías están equipados con binoculares para complementar esta experiencia con una amplia observación de aves.

Sunrise in the Amazon.
An unforgettable experience. Early in the morning we leave for a sunrise excursion where participants will observe the acute and mesmerizing change in the sky’s color and the sounds of the waking birds. Our guides are equipped with binoculars in order to complement this experience with ample bird watching.

Caminata por la Jungla.
En esta caminata educativa por la jungla, nuestro guía experto le presentará la vida silvestre del Amazonas. Él le mostrará las plantas y describirá sus usos, ya que muchas son comestibles o medicinales. Los caminos implementados en las caminatas de exploración se cambian constantemente para evitar dañar el bosque con el uso excesivo.

Jungle Hike
In this educational jungle walk, our expert guide will introduce you to the wildlife of the Amazon. He will show you plants and describe their uses, as many are edible or medicinal. The paths implemented in exploration walks are constantly changed to avoid damaging the forest with overuse.

Pesca de pirañas.
Abordaremos una lancha para pescar y aprender más sobre la infame piraña y otros peces amazónicos. La pesca es más fácil en la estación seca ya que los peces no pueden esconderse en las áreas inundadas como suelen hacerlo en la estación húmeda. Después de la pesca, haremos una parada para ver nenúfares. Regresaremos al albergue durante la puesta de sol, que generalmente brinda algunas de las vistas más impresionantes que el Amazonas tiene para ofrecer.

Piranha Fishing

We will board a motorboat to fish and learn more about the infamous piranha as well as other Amazonian fishes. Fishing is easier in the dry season as the fish cannot hide in the flooded areas as they tend to do in the wet season. After fishing, we will stop to see water lilies. We will return to the lodge during sunset, which usually provides some of the most stunning views the Amazon has to offer.
